Pen Tool in Illustrator and i drew myself as a faerie on the sign.
then i "painted" her into it.
i made a little out of the chalk on the ground.
i didn't actually do anything other than paint my head onto the black "smoke" of the awning.
i love drawing on things like that because they are so old and worn that you can see every wrinkle and crease in the letters.
i used a new paint app on my iphone and a new color, plus some type of glittery spray to draw my face.
i added the black streaks on the left side and the white paint under the nose.
i think the face looks pretty good considering i did all of this in about five minutes.
it probably looks even better on camera though.
its not that the sign looks bad, its that i just don't have a clear idea of what i want my photo to look like.
and that is entirely my fault! i have never really taken time to look at my stuff before i photograph it.
but i am thinking that i will just take a bunch of pictures and go back and take more time on it.
i like how i painted the eyes to kind of match my hair, even though it looks better when it is close up.
i painted her nose and cheeks with my finger.
the wings are really easy to do and should be fun to do more.
i used my fingers and a paint brush.
it's supposed to be my very first online concert review.
it is so fun to see a band live, especially when it is one that you like a lot.
the band is LAXURA, and their music is a mix of opera and chamber orchestra.
i first heard of them because my brother played this song by them, called "firebird," on his ipod. it has a nice melody.
he thought it was really nice, and then i heard the same song on the radio one day and decided that i had to have it.
