How to Use Gradient tool in Photoshop
. In the next article of ‘Photoshop ‘‘Misc Tutorials’’ series I would cover some useful tips to make your composition look better. I would like to add here that you can apply linear gradients, radial gradients, circular gradients, circle radial gradients or double radial gradient to your image.
1) Start with a black background and fill it with different colours.
2) There are 4 colours in the gradient tool. Pick one colour and fill the background with it. Make sure you get black as the foreground colour of the image.
3) Now go to “Edit>>Lens Blur>>Gradient, select a radius of 0.5 and go to “Save the Gradient>>Auto Mask”
4) Give your image a 3d look using “Gradient mask” and give your image a realistic 3d look by “Gradient mask in a 3d space”.
5) Select one colour and go to “Dodge tool>>Detect or Type>>Detect”
6) Select the brush tool and create an elegant colour gradient effect. Now select a radius of 0.5 and go to “Save the Gradient>>Auto Mask”
7) Give your image a cool 3d look by “Gradient mask in a 3d space”
8) Using the opacity mask tool, make sure the colours on the gradient are transparent. Now pick “Interpolate” and use the colors that you have created in steps 7 and 8. Apply a circular mask to it.
9) Use the layer mask to hide the colours you have used in step 7 and 8
10) Apply a radial gradient to your image and now give it a psychedelic look using “Gradient mask in a 3d space”
In the Above Image
The radial gradient looks amazing and looks very useful for creating 3d space in the background of your image. You can add different radial gradient by selecting a radius of 0.5 and go to “Save the Gradient>>Auto Mask”.
